TERMS

Terms and Conditions

Version 1.0 · Effective 10 September 2026

These Terms govern use of Techbayanihan Community OS, Member accounts, registrations, tickets, and related Techbayanihan community-program services. By creating an account or completing a supported registration flow, you accept the version of these Terms presented to you and separately acknowledge the Privacy Notice and accept the Code of Conduct.

1. Member accounts

Provide accurate information that you are authorized to provide, protect your password, and promptly report suspected unauthorized account use. Email verification confirms control of the mailbox only. Registration, email/domain ownership, Member status, Organization association, Activity participation, Speaker/Volunteer/Sponsor/Partner roles, Microsoft designations, or ticket possession do not automatically prove identity, employment, representation authority, professional qualification, accreditation, certification, or Techbayanihan endorsement.

2. Activities, registrations, and tickets

Activity availability, capacity, sales windows, pass inclusions, schedules, venues, speakers, and other operational details are governed by the information published for the applicable Activity and may change when reasonably necessary for delivery, safety, compliance, or circumstances outside Techbayanihan's control.

A registration or ticket is personal to the Member or invited attendee identified by the applicable workflow unless an approved transfer/replacement process expressly permits otherwise. Attempts to bypass registration controls, impersonate another person, misuse invitation links, or interfere with ticket/check-in controls are prohibited.

3. Prices, payments, cancellations, and refunds

Where a catalog item has a price, the displayed amount and currency form part of the applicable offer. A paid registration that is marked pending payment is not payment confirmation and does not create an active paid ticket unless and until the approved payment workflow confirms payment.

An Admin status such as Cancelled with Refund — Pending Processing records an operational refund state only; it does not mean funds have moved until the configured payment provider confirms the refund. Ticket revocation for Terms or Code of Conduct non-compliance does not automatically create a refund entitlement. Any mandatory rights under applicable Philippine consumer law remain unaffected.

4. Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct is incorporated into these Terms for Techbayanihan spaces and Activities. Depending on severity and available controls, non-compliance may result in warning, removal from an Activity or session, role reassignment/removal, ticket revocation, cancellation, restriction of participation, or referral to appropriate authorities. Enforcement does not by itself determine criminal, professional, or organizational liability.

5. Organization and stakeholder records

Community OS may record Organizations, sponsorship packages, partnership levels, representatives, volunteer committees, and contextual roles for operational purposes. These records do not by themselves establish legal authority to bind an Organization, verified employment, ownership, accreditation, or endorsement. Users must not falsely claim authority or affiliation.

6. Speaker and user-provided content

You remain responsible for content you submit, including bios, session abstracts, organization descriptions, links, and other materials. Do not submit content you lack the right to share, confidential information you are not authorized to disclose, malware, deceptive material, or content that violates applicable law or the Code of Conduct.

Where you deliberately publish a public Speaker profile or submit material for an Activity, you grant Techbayanihan the limited permission necessary to display, reproduce, and operate that material for the relevant community/program purpose. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying intellectual property.

7. Service availability and third-party services

Community OS depends on hosting, email, database, and other technology services. Availability may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or other operational reasons. Links or integrations operated by third parties remain subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Security and prohibited use

Do not attempt unauthorized access, vulnerability exploitation, credential theft, malicious automation, denial-of-service activity, data scraping that violates access controls, or other misuse of the service. Security testing requires prior authorization. Applicable conduct may also be subject to Philippine cybercrime and electronic-transactions laws.

9. Privacy

Personal-data handling is described in the Privacy Notice. Privacy acknowledgment is separate from optional communication preferences or other processing that may require consent.

10. Changes and versioned acceptance

Techbayanihan may update these Terms when services, legal requirements, or community operations change. Material revisions must receive a new version. Supported account and registration flows record the version accepted and may require acceptance of a newer version when that workflow is performed after an update.

11. Governing law and mandatory rights

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without excluding non-waivable rights or remedies that apply to a user or transaction. Electronic acceptance and records may be used to evidence online transactions and agreements as permitted by applicable law.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms or an Activity may be sent through the Techbayanihan Contact page.

These Terms are an operational policy for the current Community OS feature set and should be reviewed by Philippine counsel against Techbayanihan's final legal-entity details, payment/refund policy, insurance, venue obligations, and program-specific rules.
