About

From a small dream to a national movement.

In January 2016, Techbayanihan’s journey began as DMD Chicmode — a clothing business started by a young Filipina entrepreneur. By November 2018, this dream transformed into a startup tech company, launching IT services and solutions. Alongside this growth, we began helping and leading Microsoft tech communities in the Philippines, running free training, webinars, and bootcamps.

When the pandemic hit, our startup expanded to serve more small-to-enterprise organizations across the Philippines, APAC, ANZ, and North America. We launched the BizApps Pinoy Citizen Program and, in August 2024, hosted the first and biggest Microsoft PH community event.

In June 2025, we officially registered Techbayanihan as a non-profit, committed to empowering communities through fit-for-purpose technology, guided learning, and bayanihan in action.

Techbayanihan logo

Logo Meaning

Logo Components

The Techbayanihan logo is a visual metaphor of Filipino unity, innovation, and progress. It blends our cultural tradition of bayanihan with the power of technology to move communities forward together.

A digital bayanihan. A movement where people uplift each other through technology.

🏠 The Hut (Bahay Kubo)

Represents the traditional bayanihan spirit where community members lift and carry a house to help a neighbor move. It symbolizes collective effort, shared progress, and the importance of uplifting others through collaboration.

🧍🧍🧍 The Three Figures Carrying the Hut

These represent the people behind the mission learners, leaders, and changemakers. Their unified posture reflects community-driven progress, where no one is left behind.

⚙️ The Digital Circuit Lines

The embedded lines and dots reflect technology, innovation, and digital movement. They symbolize how we apply modern tools (AI, data, apps) to solve problems, skill people, and transform communities.

🖤 Monochrome Simplicity

The black-and-white scheme reflects clarity, inclusiveness, and universality. It works across mediums and platforms, just like our mission — adaptable, scalable, and accessible for all.

🔡 Typography: Bold, Modern, Rounded

The font feels strong yet friendly — echoing our brand personality: empowering, warm, and grounded. It communicates approachability with the boldness of a movement.

Techbayanihan is not just about technology; it’s about people helping people, empowered by purpose-built digital tools.

It’s the Filipino bayanihan spirit, reborn for the digital age.
